I had all twelve hives open Monday. Saw only a few drone cells. None flying as of today. The workers are sure busy. Lots of pollen coming in.

I saw a drone land on the landing board of a strong hive and walk in.

This was on a warm day around New Year's Day

I went through all my hives this past weekend. About 10% had drones and white wax.

Went through 3 hives yesterday and did not see any drones or drone brood. Did have one hive with 3 capped queen cells, will be intresting to see how that works out.

Went through ten hives this past Saturday. Three were lost. Saw several drones in the surviving six as well as loads of bees in five of the six remaining hives.
