Default Where to obtain my bees?

    My first post!

I'm thinking about getting into this hobby. I have done a little research, and feel at least a little (VERY LITTLE) educated on the topic.

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a place to obtain my first batch of bees. I am in Northern Illinois.

Welcome to the hobby, now find and join a local bee keeping club they can help with where you can get bees.

Lapps in Wisconson has packages in April if you wanted to drive there and pick them up but a local club may have a better source.

Did I mention joining a local club

Give Long Lane Honey Bee Farms a call. They are in IL. and are selling packages and nucs.

    Ken,
Welcome! Be sure to find yourself a mentor in your area. This, in my opinion, is one of the best things you can do.
