What temperature low have you had to date?
Northern Virginia woke up this morning to 0 degrees F. Lowest temp of the season... ...plus the weather man says we have not seen sub-teen temps since 2004. I thought that odd.
How 'bout you northern boys (and girls). I can only imagine what Mike Palmer's gonna report in with

-4 in December, coldest this month has been +5 Not too bad for this time of year, usually get into the 0's and teen's for a few weeks on end, but not this year.

Still waitin' for real winter here 'bouts. Was a bit nippy for the last few nights. Balmy -27F Thursday night, and -24 the night before. We had -2 yesterday morning when I got up. The weather men said that is the lowest temp in about a dozen years.
My sister is in Burlington and had -23 yesterday morning....So Mike's temps are about right being a little north of there.

12 degrees this morning. I see that's the warmest temp. on the thread so I probably shouldn't say this but, "DANG IT'S COLD!!!

I know what you mean pgg, I was just looking at that -38f. I couldn't emagine it getting that cold. I guess wev'e got it better than we thought here in SC.
-10 on 12/17/08 .Pipes froze, trucks wouldn't start, tire chains under the snow somewhere
-28 without wind chill... -40 to -50 with windchill. Just two days ago
And thats why so many Wisconsin hives are here in Ca. Just gettin outta Dodge.
-22 back in mid december.unseasonably warm this week mid 40s. it really has me wanting to mess with the bees.my poor wife is sitting around reading gardening books.our last frost in usually june 15th.hopefully winter will set back in soon.
Our coldest night this year was +27F.

Any bees in Alaska in the area where it was -60F the other day??? Wondering how they survive.
Here it was -17.8F. It's kinda cool walking outside and listening to things.... like during/after a snowstorm. Just sounds peaceful... and frigid!
3 Wheelbarrow Day
Most winter day/nights take 1-2 wheelbarrow fulls of fire wood to keep our house warm. Thusrday was a 3 wheelbarrow day.
And here I am wondering if mine will survive the upcoming 23 degrees.
