2' candle, what wick to use?

I am stumped! I have a online friend who is doing a Bell shaped candle about
2.5" tall. He is having a problem with the wax running down the side after lighting. I have given him good instruction on how to clean beeswax.(he has his own hives in Texas) It is his own beeswax. I have told him to use the next size up on wicking when making beeswax candles. Any ideas on how to help my online friend would be much appreciated! Thank-You! Brenda

what size wick is he using? Is the candle wider at the bottom than the top? What are both dimensions?
