OK, get your mind out of the gutter. A wiki is kind of information management system. If you know wikipedia, you know what a wiki is.

TiddlyWiki is a system that is designed to operate directly on your computer although there are plugins to make it work on the web. It allows you to make and link records in a free form manner. At first it may seem like it's not very useful, but with a little messing around you'll find it's really powerful.

I used to use NoteCase for free form data management, but TiddlyWiki could be my future. NoteCase wasn't easily shared with others, but TiddlyWiki only needs a decent browser to operate.

I forgot to mention, you Microsoft people can also use this, although you might want to upgrade to a Firefox browser to get full function.
