    Default meeting place...where?

I would like to put on an all day class on the topic of honey. I have all the portable kitchen things I need but I am having a hard time finding a place to host a meeting.

I was thinking of hotel conference room but the prices would be really expensive for me.

I cant really think of any other place to do it. I would like it to hold around 20 people if possible.

    any thoughts?

You might try local community centers and high school facilities.

In addition to DF's great suggestions, there are
VFW's and the like around here that rent out
areas for cheap. Also in smaller towns there
are sometimes Seniors Centers that do the
    same.

    Iddee: Your house, right?

Sundance: Not sure if I could. I will be charging for it so I think there might be a conflict of interest.

Chef, I checked with a local VFW organizer and neither they nor the grange would care about you charging for an event in the facilities. The only downside is that their kitchen is...lacking. The VFW in Redmond leaves something to be desired, the grange hall in Woodinville is nice. The city also used to rent the city center for relatively reasonable prices.

One of the bee clubs I'm involved with has held classes at a church that has a big kitchen & fellowship hall. We leave it spotless and make a donation to the church.
