Zip Lock Bag Syrup Feeder.

I have fed 3 breeder queen nucs a total of 5 measured quarts each of heavy syrup with excellent results! The last two feedings were medicated with Fumagillin.
The bag is filled, I push down on the bag to get most of the air out, place it over a pollen patty, make about 40 small slits around the bag including some on the top and replace the feed rim.
The bees consume the syrup without drowning within 24 to 30 hours with daytime temperatures in the 70's to 80's.
The bees enjoy clustering under their Zip Lock blanket.
The breeder queens were purchased from Glenn Apiaries.

Sounds like you've got a great system. Just be sure to check space in your nucs so you don't over-feed and plug-out the queen from having any room to lay.

Do you think that two quarts of the Fumagilln medicated syrup is enough for the nucs? I fed them the un-medicated syrup 1st so that the bees would not cover up the medicated syrup as per the package insert.
recent rains have caused a good germination of the soil seed bank.

Yea, I'd say that 2 quarts for a nuc should be plenty.
