oh poo...
Ok, on day 20 of my api life var treatment (end of second wafer) the mite drop count (24 hrs) is 247! WOWZA. I was not expecting this. Should I be worried. I have to be honest. I haven't had time to keep track correctly. I have been keeping the sticky board in, but haven't been able to pull it to keep track of 24 hr counts (been SUPER busy with work) So, does that mean that this colony is going to crash?
Help!!!
Let's BEE friends

Sounds like they needed treatment. You gave it to them.... I wouldn't kill myself worrying about it beyond that. See how they look in the spring and if you don't like what you see, try drone brood removal and a period of queenlessness after your big flow to keep the mites from reproducing in addition to what you are already doing. It's to labor intensive for more than a few hives but should be easy enough for a few.

Sounds to me like the treatment is working.
