Got a swarm call Saturday

Latest swarm call of my beekeeping career (9 years). Of course, it was gone when I got there.

I don't know, I am going to get one this afternoon. Craziest time of the year for a swarm.

Got them put up, now I will have to feed, feed and feed some more to help them get caught up for winter.

where do you put your name or number to get a call? Is it word of mouth or what?

Sorry I'm new just got my first swarm in July but would love to have more should have put that in last post.

I have a laying worker colony that I was going to use it to requeen with. I was going to let the swarm go for a week so the queen could start laying eggs and then combine the two.

Moot point now though as it was gone when I got there.

Call your local DNR, local pest controls, county soil and conservation, police dept. This web site has a free add for bee removal. make a blog. some guys here will let you put a swarm add . Trust me I did all the above by AUG I was turning down pick ups, if I pick all them up I bet I would of had 50 swarms

I got a call today, he said it was the size of a baseball and hanging on a small branch. His location was between Derby and Rose Hill. Too far for too little, I wished him well. If you call me I will tell you his number if you still need a queen and want to come up and get it. (He's not going to pay you so it would be just for a queen.)
