I was reading on the forum about a wheel type tool with spikes used for piercing capped honey in the perma comb. I think Wild Bill was talking about where to order one, if not does anyone know where to buy such a contraption?

I think this is what you are looking for

He, he, your funny,,, Wild Bill....
Ok, so when you order your hackler honey punch, order the two inch. When you get it remove one wheel so the spikes will separate and fall into the cells easier.
The two inch model causes less strain on your wrist than the four inch, when using the four inch you will end up using the outside edge because the wheels will not all fall into the frame because of spacing and because of the ridge in the center line of the frame.
The only two tools I use are a plastic pie server to remove the cappings and the punch when the cappings are at or below the cell openings. No hot water is necessary to heat the punch, the PC will make the wheels turn making it unnecessary to warm the punch.
