"Organic is the biggest joke since the cereal titans claimed corn flakes would stop children from masturbating." Now I understand why we went from eggs for breakfast to Corn Flakes when I was a kid...all that "Why you spending so much time in the bathroom" and "Here eat some more corn flakes" finally makes sense.

You should change your forum name to self-pollination.

No joke, the foundation of the health food craze goes back to ancient Greece and even then was based on it preventing sexual desire. Often this was at the cost of ability. I have posted links before, so I wont post them again at this time. Don't take my word for it do your own research.

Places to start, Perky, as in..."You feeling Perky?" Perky invented Shredded Wheat. He intended it to be eaten with one's evening meal with gravy poured over it. Then the man mentioned next came along.

Dr. John Harvey Kellogg MD, who never once slept with his wife but took 3-5 soybean-yogurt enemas a day, and circumcised young girls with pure carbolic acid. Kellogg railed against hot food, salt, meat, pepper, and sex. It only gets more bazaar from here.

The Reverend Sylvester Graham, an anti-meat, anti-sex, early organic food guru who advocated natural food products as a way to avoid "SINS of the FLESH", (a reference to the eating of meat and the acts committed in the bedroom by those who ate animal food products) yea, those little brown crackers your mama uses in her pudding pie crusts are named for him. The health food industry almost croaked when Graham died young.

Benjamin Rush, a signer of the Declaration of Independence and a close friend of that other Benjamin, Mr. Franklin. Rush was the first to advocate "A close and careful scrutiny of the multiplication tables," as the way for young men to achieve perfect health. He was also likely for Franklin's short experiment with vegetarianism.

Post, as in Postum, a coffee substitute used as a halfway measure between the full sexual arousal real coffee drinkers got and the flaccid condition, Postum users were told to expect. I guess Postum could be though of as the
    anti-Viagra.

The raw food movement today goes back to the 19th. century when hot food, as in cooked, was believed to be responsible for unnecessary sexual acts. This was the start of the cold breakfast food (cereal) industry. The organic food as a health food industry of today is a direct off-shoot of these pioneers in healthy eating but unhealthy living.
