Default Wasp traps safe for bees?

I've got a bad wasp problem, and have just bought a wasp trap on sale...a globe with an opening in the bottom. There is a reservoir at the bottom to hold bait (honey water, meat, etc).

    1) Is this any danger to bees?

    2) Is there a choice of bait that will only be of appeal to the wasps, and not bees?

    Thank you,
    Dan.

Both Wasp and bees have a natural instinct to follow the light, so yes, you will catch bees with it, if you use any honey or sugar.

The solution is to use meat, if that is what wasp will go after.

    Fish scraps.

No sweet liquids, which'd attract honeybees.

I used fruit and fruit juice last year and had pretty good success last year.
