I have to agree with Jeffrey Todd for the Austin area. It's bone dry. We have had 40+ days over 100*F and one or two days of spotty rain. It was a brutal summer.
I see a few marsh asters starting to poke out but unless we get more rain, they won't amount to much. We had a good cenizo bloom after the last rain a couple weeks ago but now my bees are feeding off suburban landscape flowers again. If I was out in the country, I'd be feeding them.
