wax moth

I had wax moths destory a weak hive. combine bees with good hive, destoryed comb and cleaned equ. what is the black specks left by the moths? eggs-poop?

poop, the bees will take care of it, but it don't hurt to help.

Yeah, it's kinda nasty. I have had lots of probs with wax moth. I just do my best to clean it up, getting rid of the silk I think is the hardest thing for the bees to do.

I clean off all the silk and cocoons, and spray the combs with a hose, and let them dry.

Next season I drop a swarm on them and they just go to town.
