Ultra Breeze Pants Style Preference

This is a poll to help Bill (MagMan) determine what
style of pant would be best with the current
jacket he has available.

I like the idea of a bib with suspenders. When bending
or climbing, etc your back side would be less apt to
expose (plumbers butt) and pose a dandy target.

With ties on the bottom similar to Golden Bee.

How about elastic and belt loops. That way when the elastic gets old you can use a belt, but until then you won't need it...

Yeah, the front pocket idea sucks when the hive tool jabs your gut when you bend over.

And reinforced knees are a must, padded would be nice too.

Zippered with loops and elastic would be the bomb.

Ties on the pant leg are the way to go.

I couldn't vote because of the above reasons wouldn't fit.

I like the "sweat pants" style... will never forget and leave the zipper down! However, elastic does have a life span, and a back-up drawstring would be a nice touch. Or belt loops, same idea.

But my favorite pants style is... one with LONG LEGS! Please! Like a size small with 34" legs.

Like for Bullseye I seems a standard pant with zipper
and loops is the best match.

Features we discuss like elastic in the waist, ankle ties,
hive tool holder, knee reinforcement, etc can all be added
to the final pant regardless of the style.

I'm a bib and suspender fan. But would love some elastic
in the waist area.

I just can't see a pant without a front zipper for obvious
reasons......

In my case, I voted for the bib. I could live with a
standard pant with zipper and suspenders. Next
a standard pant with zipper and loops (I can buy
suspenders)

Last would be sweat pants......

OK, I'm the only one that voted for the zipper and belt loops, but I would really like draw strings on the waste and legs. And of course the zipper so I can access my pockets when I need to get to my knife or that little bottle for the SHB I carry around.

How about a holster? You never know when a rabid skunk will pop up. Go ahead and laugh but it happened twice to me at the farm.

A Walther P22 fits nicely in the Golden Bee suit pocket.

Being a woman, I have to say, a one piece anything designed to be genderless and fit all, is useless. You just can't please all of the people all of the time. Like most ladies, I wear one size from the waist up, another from the waist down, and it can all vary by a couple of sizes depending on the brand, cut, and fit.

I wear gi pants -- from a martial arts uniform -- with a bee jacket. They have an elastic waist with a drawstring tie, double reinforced knees, (nice!) and a wide, generous cut designed for lots of movement. Alas, no belts, loops, pockets, or so on. (You don't want to give an opponent more to grab.) The drawback is the length, as they are "high waters" leaving the feet unencumbered. Mine are heavy cotton with flat-felled seams (like jeans) and very tough. The only breeze comes from the baggyness.

I prefer very baggy at the hips and thighs and snug at the waist, but that makes sense as I am not built linearlly. (Holding my breath here, hoping members of the forum will not take offense. )

I hate hemming 50% of what I own, but I understand that's easier than trying to lengthen items. (Excess height has never been a challenge, alas. )

Zippers and flies are just more work in an item like this, and pointless really, unless you are a guy working in an isolated bee yard, and NEED flies. <Ahem>
Again, never one of my worries.

Bibs, straps, etc. Why? (But then, I never wear overalls as the fit is never right.)

The Duluth Trading Company carries a whole line of shirts called "Plumber's Tees" designed with extra long tails so you don't flash when bending and stretching. DH wears them when doing that kind of remodeling.

Still would like to see a jacket with the hat (stands away from the face) veil, not a hood (too close). I work in an area with lots of AHB, and you want that veil away from you when they are flying at you.

No second choice, unless it's the dream fitting one piece jumpsuit. But that's a custom job.

Summer1052 you need to check out a product made just for women. Two brands are Urinelle and Uri-Mate. I haven't ever seen these for sale in the US though, but then again I am a guy. It is a perfect product for the bee yard. I think I will buy my wife a few boxes.
