A Great Day!
About noon today, my wife and I robbed the bees and began the process of uncapping and extracting our honey. Our little backyard apiary produced about 210 lbs of wildflower honey! So...it has been a great day! By the way, those 5 gallon pails are heavy when full aren't they?

I think honey tastes best just as it's uncapped. Something changes the flavor after it has sat out a while. Tasting the cappings is my favorite part of harvesting honey.Originally Posted by MapMan

Yes they sure are!! But, isn't it all worth it? I think we are having a good honey season also.
