    Smile A Great Day!

About noon today, my wife and I robbed the bees and began the process of uncapping and extracting our honey. Our little backyard apiary produced about 210 lbs of wildflower honey! So...it has been a great day! By the way, those 5 gallon pails are heavy when full aren't they?

Just wanted to share our good news. Hope you are having a good year! Greetings to all from middle Tennessee! God bless...

Congratulations on you honey crop! How many hives do you have? Just curious, this is my first year beekeeping.

    That's a nice haul - 210 lbs! Congrats. I just love chewing honey-soaked fresh cappings, don't you?

I think honey tastes best just as it's uncapped. Something changes the flavor after it has sat out a while. Tasting the cappings is my favorite part of harvesting honey.

Yes they sure are!! But, isn't it all worth it? I think we are having a good honey season also.
