how to tell if foundation is upside down or not while installing it into a new frame?
God only knows how many I done that way:{
also what if I have a small building like an old chicken house. Can I use it for a bee house now?? even if I let the wire on the windows??

Can you give us a little more information on what type of foundation you purchased?
If it is the stuff that is the imprinted plastic wax coated or the pure beeswax foundation, there is no up or down as far as I can tell.

I use crimp wire foundation and the crimped wires go in on top and the wedge goes over the crimped wires and is nailed or stapled in place. I am thinking if the foundation has no crimp wires then it probably doesn't matter if it is "upside" down or not since the bees will draw it out correctly.
What does "...even if I let the wires on the window??" mean? I'm not sure I know what you are asking.

chicken wire will not be a problem. are you keeping your hives in the chicken house?

I just tryed to remove some bees in an old house I got 90% of them. since I got them and came back here to kind of let them get settled into their new home I was gona take them to my real home..... The way I think is for sure wrong so most of them left and the one's that left have been comeing back takeing the new babys so I moved the box inside the old chicken house sunday past. Yesterday when I got home bee's were everywhere lots of them. I watched from inside the truck and looked like they were haveing lots of fun but could not get inside the hen house all that easy so that is why I ask my stupid question.

should i kill my queen??
this is my 1st yr with bees! was talking to someone that said to kill your queen after the sulustus. the hive will make a new queen. in that time frame there is no queen, if you have mites it will kill the mites. before the new queen hatches??
any one heard of this?
