How long can a queen stay in a cage before being put into the hive? She has attendants and candy and I've rubbed honey on the screen. We'll be putting her in the hive today but was just wondering. She was caged 2 days ago.

How long can a queen stay in a cage before being put into the hive? She has attendants and candy and I've rubbed honey on the screen. We'll be putting her in the hive today but was just wondering. She was caged 2 days ago.
They can last several days, but you need to put a drop of water on the screen every day and keep them in a cool dark place.

If you give them a drop of water every day, you can go until the attendants start to die.But you are pushing it a bit. If you replace the attendants, you can go even longer.
They may last a couple of weeks.
