Stopping a swarm form leaving

I just picked up another swarm tonight, I put the branch and all in a deep. Is there sure way to stop them from leaving my box? and what are the odds of them making it this winter. The swarm is the size of a basketball and they will have there work cut out for them. all I have is new frames and foundations.

Put a queen excluder between bottom board and your box. Leave it for 1 week before removing. Feed-feed-feed.

Steal a frame of brood from another hive and put it in with the swarm.
