Default Killing bee inside a roof - $500

Someone called me today because they called a 'beekeeper' yesterday who came and sprayed a newly arrived colony inside her roof and charged her $400 PLUS $100 call out charge!

She called me because there are still bees flying around after her husband caulked the cracks. Duh! The guy didn't even remove the pile of dead bees which no doubt are sitting inside the roof.

not unusual to have field bees activity a day after a treatment. 48hrs after should be 0 activity. 500 seems a 'bit' pricey

I've had similar calls. I just shake my head in disbelief at what some pest control folks will do.

What stinks is this wasnt a pest control person. The orginal post said it was a "beekeeper". I would rather say it was a bee haver. The lady does have some recourse in getting her money back. If this clown is spraying bees without an exterminator license she should report him to the proper authorities.

    Default Beekeeper

Yes the idea or reporting him for killing bees without a license is a good one which hadn't occurred to me. Maybe I'll try and call her back.

Funny that MollySue mentioned shaking his head in disbelief. When I typed the original post I thought an icon of a shaking head would be very useful.
