So we got the hives we bought loaded yesterday evening, home by 5 am this morning. I should mention we planned on leaving earlier to get the bees but two cows decided they needed to calve, and one was a hiefer. She might have lost the calf too, if we hadn;t intervened. So we finished loading the hives around 11pm. Got home around 5 am, slept for a couple of hours and proceded to unload the hives. I looked at the work ahead of me and wow, a sense of overwhelm came over me. It was rainy on the way home (much needed) and cloudy for most of the unloading which was good.
150 hives..what was i thinking...

I need to go to bed
