Colony Splits

Hello,

Has anyone had any experience with making splits and not adding a queen to the new split? Will just making sure there are eggs so the split can make their own queen work? Until the new queen mates, frames could be added to bolster the population as needed. Any thoughts?

As far as i know and from my own exp. theres not really a problem with it other than like they say it will be about a month behind in brood rearing.
I'd just make sure you try and put in a frame of fresh eggs and very young larve along with the capped brood.
