    Default still snowing

It's just snowing like a madman here, and I'm not sure what I should or shouldn't do around the beehives. Right now it's right about up to their bottom boards, like a foot of snow. It shows no sign of letting up. I've made sure the entrance isn't blocked. But, should I dig them out some? One part of me thinks snow is actually good insulation. It's in the 30's, which is not substantially cold for us, or these bees. They're new, but they're bred for cold climates.

BUT, if I wake up in the morning and find them buried up to their lids in snow, that's probably not so good, is it?

It wont hurt to dig them out as long as you dont shake the hives up. If you disturb them, they will fly out and freeze to death.
