queen not coming...can I get some help

The bees I ordered from Betterbee are delayed a week and I did my split yesterday. I was hoping to add a new queen so as not to delay the development of this hive. Is there anyone in the Saratoga NY area that can help me get one? I'm not sure if the delay is for queens and packages or just packages. But I'd rather not take any chances.

PS.. Does this type of delay happen to all bee orders? This is the third year in a row this has happened.

Which is why I never do the split until I have the queen in my hand. A frame of brood might do you. We have a few drones flying here, I assume you would have a few there now? They will raise one.

I was able to get a queen from a local beek. This is one keeper who's glad he joined his local beekeeping association.
