    Question Entrance reducer

Ok, last night I hived 2 packages of mine and it was late and getting cool, I reduced the entrance to about a 4in. opening. For the next few days its going to be cool and rain showers, question is should I keep the entrance reduced or let the girls have no restriction? I checked them this morn. and they seem to be cleaning up the inside and bringing debris to the opening.
It is still cool so not much other activity...
    Thanks, T.G.

I'd leave the reducers on them until they start having serious traffic jams at the opening. With the reducers in place the bees have an easier time controlling the temperature of the hive in the spring (during those cool days and nights) and also have an easier time guarding the entrance.

Thanks carbide. thats what I was thinking too.... it is very chilly today and a bit windy so I will keep them on and monitor their activity as the weather changes.....

I always leave them reduced until there is a traffic jam.
