Checking Hive

I released the queen into my new hive last Friday (the 18th). My question is, when do I check the hive for eggs and larva? I don't want to disturb the hive before I need to - thanks!

Sometimes the queen takes a little before she starts laying. It also depends on how well you can see eggs. I have trouble finding eggs so, if it were me, I'd wait a little while longer so that I can see the larva.

Conventional wisdom is 7-10 days.
