    Default help bee swarm

    just went after swarm of bees on fence post,was there five minutes and they took off, followed them to 1/4 mile to tree, they went in a knot hole about 20 feet off the ground. do you think they will stay there for about 4 hours until i get off work & do you think I could smoke them out into a trap or what would you do thanks

    I think they'll probably be there several years unless you cut the tree down.

    Set up a swarm trap there for next year.

    Put a cone on the hole and place a hive with one frame of open brood at the base of the cone. You will have them out within 72 hours. If you wait, add a week to the time it will take per day you wait to start the trap.
