New Beekeepers

In the passed few weeks we have had several new (or about to bee) beekeepers with a lot of interesting questions so if you are new or about to bee come in to the chat room, chedk in and see if any old bees are there

I have the latest version of Java, but I keep getting "Unable to connect to server" messages. The page comes up with my nickname and password every time...I have tried to "create another account ", but that tab does nothing. It just sits there---like me...LOL...What can I do?

I was able to get right in about an hour ago.

if I'm not mistaken you have to "create another account "
I don't think your regular beesource account will work
you can use the same username/password but you have to create a new account for the chatroom

I did that, and it would not work...Now I am trying variations of where I log in. IE==not on main page, but here only. Maybe they conflict..BTW I am on dialup, and am very used to frustration...LOL

Yes, separate account from the forums. Bizzybee should be able to look into this soon, I hope.

Sorry I've been away and not able to help out. I'm still in Mich playing in the bees and plan to get out of here in the am to head back to GA. Won't be back on the site until Friday night though. Hopefully you'll be in by then and I'll see you then.

I think your problem is that you don't have popups enabled for beesource.com. In IE go to tools and then the options tab. Select settings in the popup section and add beesource.com to the list.

I had a similair problem a while back it drove me nuts until I figured out that it was my internet firewall blocking me out

K folks, I didn't get in till about midnite last night and chatting was the last thing on my mind!!

I hope you were able to get in? If not, send me a message here or hit my email at: bizzybeega@comcast.net I'll do what I can to help. The connection to the chat room is pretty basic, but can become complicated if you're using firewalls of one flavor or another. I can still help in some cases but not all. But hopefully I can point you in the right direction if I can't help you find the problem directly.

I'll try to be in the chat room and/or online by 8:30 or 9:00 tonight.

Make sure you have Java installed. And in whatever browser you are using make sure that you have http://www.beesource.com allowed for popups.

You do need to also set up an account separately from your existing BEESOURCE account. You can use your same credentials in all probability, but it is a separate account.

If you continue to have problems send me a private message (Bizzybee) and we'll try to figure out what the problem is.

Folks usually start showing up around 7:30PM EDT and peak around 9:30PM but someone usually around till about 10:30PM.
