New Hivestand
Picked this spot because near the house, good early sun exposure. Two pine trees as natural late afternoon sun as well as winter weather deflector. I am in process of building small 5x5' wood fence on each side for wind/neighbor deflectors.
treated wood only that touches ground. below ground is concreted in. Above ground is redwood. The back bar is slightly higher than the front, hopefully have just the right tilt needed for good hive drainage.
It will easily hold two hives at first. However, 3-4 if I really start to get involved.
One of my goals was to be able to move the hives closer together in fall/winter with minimal hassle or disruption of the hive. This should make it a snap.
