How about taking the regional aspects as mentioned earlier in the post a step further with a list of beeks by region who would be willing to give one on one advice that is area specific?

How about a closed forum titled step by step beginning. Barry or a moderator makes the new threads titled

before getting bees

where and how to get bees

day of arrival

first week

first month

first six months

first winter

first spring

Then allow postings from the members under those headings only.




Second forum titled "aspects of beekeeping"

Each thread under it would be the things mentioned above plus others.

Such as

Checking for mites, requeening, when to super, ETC., with a description of each.

the structure?? Or is that farmed out at some cost?

I went off earlier to see how hard this would be when Sundance posted. Should've waited for Barry. Mediawiki was easy to get running (and if I can do it, I'm certain you can). There are a number of wiki selections that work fine. I'll wait for the "official" one though.
