I gotta do a road trip to Bush Farms sometime! You probably have more ideas laying around than a NASA lab!

I'm not that far. My sister used to live in Hays and it seems like it was only about four and a half hours. Leave early and you could get here, visit for a while and still make it home by bedtime.

    [Trevor, I love it .]

    Ditto!!

Now you just need a swivel/pivot to flip the clamp upside down to pop the staples in the underside.

...i built one for 2 deeps at a time this spring based on michael's picture.....works like a charm.

i countersink and use drywall screws for my boxes. the time consuming part seems to be the gluing...i'm thinking of either a special brush or a jig to make the gluing faster.

My box jig is not that complicated. It is a piece of 3/4 inch particle board, 26 x 20. It has a two inch wide strip glued and screwed around the edge with the inside dimensions exactly the same as a box. I stand the four sides of the box on end and apply the glue to one end, then flip and apply glue to the other end.

I put the four pieces together forcing them into the jig, (a very tight fit) and screw them together. I have already countersunk the boards on a drill press before I start assembly.

If you are going to nail (hammer) them together, you would probably want to use plywood.

I made a very simple box jig based on Ross's frame jig design. (thanks Ross!)

It was easy to make and works very well.
I love simple designs like this that can be made from scrap and costs almost nothing. Hats off to Ross for his idea!
