I am from west Tennessee and realitively new to beekeeping. I am interested in how other beekeepers from this area would characterize our nectar/pollen flows as it relates to hive managment.

I know what happened last year but that was not exactly the norm, with the Easter Freeze and 100-year drought and all.

I have been reading up in books and on the web, about making splits, and hive management in general, but it is hard for a newbie like me to adjust mgmt. timings published for New York, or Wisconsin to West Tennessee.

Thanks for the help.
