    Question Moving mating nucs

Has anyone ever had to move mating nucs after the cells have hatched and after first orientation flights? Will they reorient like normal and continue with the process towards mating flights or will the take rate be negatively impacted?

    Default moving mh

I have never done that, but I think they will go ahead a reorient and go ahead and mate just make sure the move is a couple miles away or you may have problems with the queens returning home to there new location.

I may have...nothing I would do normally, and not sure what days they flew, but...

While at EAS this past August, the farmer wanted the mating nucs moved so he could get his manure pit drained. Help never called me, just moved the nucs. They had been celled 7 days before. All the queens were mated successfully.
