Hydrometer question

I have a glass hydrometer that I bought used from an old beekeeper in town. He told me that he paid $40 for it 20? years ago - so I assume that it is a decent one. Anyways, my question is that it is calibrated for 68 deg F. However I quite often want to check honey at different temperatures. Say for example - in the double boiler at 120 deg. Is there some way to figure out a correction factor for other temperatures? Are these things accurate that far away from the design temp?

There is a way to work it out, I had a chart that came with the hydrometer I use when distilling which told you how to allow for the change in temperature... buggered if I know where it is now though.

No too sure what the hydrometer you've got measures (SG or Brix), but there is another chart here which you can use to convert between the two http://www.honeyflowfarm.com/conversionchart.htm

According to the instructions with mine for homebrewing, at 120f you will need to add
aproximately .01 to the reading. Be advised that it is not a linear translation between
60F and 120F. It is some kind of exponential.
