Default Beeswax oil? Beeswax fragrance? Extract? What?

Hello everyone, I haven't been here in awhile but I figure you all are just the people to solve this conundrum for me.

A friend of mine insists that there is a naturally derived "beeswax fragrance oil" out there. I am skeptical. Does anyone know what he's talking about?

He says that there's a "special substance" in beeswax that gives it fragrance, and that this oil is an extract of that special substance. I thought the smell of beeswax was the smell of all of its components.

Can anyone shed some light on this?
    Dat rosa mel apibus.

There is such a thing - beeswax absolute. Its solvent extracted from beeswax. Due to the cost, its used mostly in perfumery.
