Default I found this on my outer cover

I took a peek under the covers of a couple of my hives between rain showers. As I suspected the supers are empty. I found this bee on the outer cover of one hive. It appears to be a Digger Bee according to my Audobon Society Field Guide. I thought it was a Mason Bee but the one in the book does not have the yellow hair.

Carpenter bees look similar too - only they are a bit bigger. 1/4-3/4" for Digger bees, and 3/4-1" for Carpenters.
