Northwest New Jersey: Swarm on May 1st... captured!
Durango, Colorado May 1st 1:10 pm
I watched one of my hives swarm today, I followed the cloud of bees they landed in a fruit tree North North East 100 ft. and about 20 ft. up from the origional Hive. I captured it in a Nuc box with a few drops of lemon grass oil and used a scoop (dust pan) I made from and old antifreese plastic jug and duct taped to a broom handle . I only had a 15 ft ladder and the box was about 3 ft. below the swarm, I scooped as many bees that I could and poured them into the nuc box all the stragglers made there way to the nuc box by about 8:00 pm . Then I put the lid on and removed it from the tree.......YaHoo.....

South Central Ohio, 43160, I got two calls Mohday, my first of the year, then one today. Captured 2 swarms in the last two days. Turned one down that was 17-18 miles south. I am hearing that the swarms around here are more numerous this year than anyone can remember.
Northern Colorado, Longmont, 80504. My Warre hive swarmed on 4/30/2012. I caught it out of a tree, 40ft away. It was only 4ft off the ground.
Two picked up this evening in Bristol UK. Brave bees swarming in this weather.
Picked up some of my gals that decided to go astray tonight.... second swarm from this colony this year... this cluster was on a rock next to the ground... marched right into a 4-frame nuc with 2 drawn frames and a nasanov swarm lure vial.

3-4 lbs from one of my Nucs
Lebanon, TN. Caught a 3 lb. swarm about ten feet up on a hackberry branch. Mid 80s and sprinkling rain. They barely got settled on their branch before they were in our swarm bucket and then installed in a brand new cedar Warre hive. Here are some pictures.

Swarm call in Boston (Cambridge, 02139) today - I wasn't able to respond, so I don't know how big it was - they were from the home owners' hive - 5:30pm, off and on drizzly.
Sheboygan County, WI
Watched one of my hives swarm yesterday and caught and hived them. Right before a thunder storm. Which seems to be the most likely time for swarms for me.
The Dalles, OR - #7 or so, 15' up in a pine tree - stayed put for almost three days, probably due to drizzle and rain! Bucket on a pruning pole - the ol' bump-n-dump!
Swarm in Summerville, PA 15864 today at the neighbors. They called my home phone and left a message. After they called the county extension office and was told a swarm usually only sticks around for a few hours, they called another beekeeper who came and got them. It was a warm day - high 70's and drizzled this afternoon.
I don't think they were mine. Out of my two hives, I split one and the other one I added a hive body to. All hives seemed to have the normal amount of bees coming and going this evening.
I do know a feral swarm flew over our place and was heading in the direction of this neighbor's place 2 years ago, so i'm assuming it was another feral swarm.
I had a swarm trap out, but they must not have been interested in it.
Northeast Ohio I had two nice swarms today and 3 earlier in the week
