I am in Troy, Missouri and have picked up swarms on the following dates:
29 May 2010 - Medium
5 May 2010 - Large
10 May 2010 - Very Large
18 May 2010 - Large
18 May 2010 - small
I have been lucky so far. All of these have stayed in the hive and are going to town building comb. We have been having a lot of rain. It has been raining for several days in a row. I have been getting calls on the first sunny day after a rainy spell. The best one was on the 18th of May. The swarm was hanging off a limb not even 3' off the ground. I held a bucket under them and brushed them off the limb into the bucket with my bee brush. So far there was only one that was high off the ground. It was about 15'. Got to LOVE IT!
Picked up a nice large swarm in Gardnerville NV 89410 on the 19th of May.
Medium Swarm on 5-10-2010 Cottonwood Heights, Utah 84121.
Medium Swarm on 5-14-2010 West Valley City, Utah 84119.
Large Swarm on 5-18-2010 Herriman, Utah 84096.
Medium Swarm on 5-19-2010 Salt Lake City, Utah 84115.
I just got back in the door after picking up another swarm. It was a small swarm on the seat of a riding mower. The owner said that the bees landed on his leg while he was cutting grass. He said he stopped, stood up, and stomped he foot on the ground. The bees fell off. Some flew off. Then they refromed on the seat. He left them and went in the house. He called me today beause they were still there. It is raining today and he was worried about them getting wet. So I picked them up and will give them a nice dry new place to live.
Picked up a medium swarm yesterday.
Went to pick up a large swarm today but they were gone when I arrived.

How many of you collect multiple swarms from the same location (spot) multiple times in a week?
Earlier I had picked up two swarms on the same exact fence at the same exact post less than a week apart.
Last evening I picked up a very large swarm on a patio swing about 25 feet from a large cottom wood tree and now I have a call back where the owner claims another swarm has gathered on the same swing?
Thanks

5/20/10 Got a call (7:00 pm) ...a swarm in his front yard tree.Late evening, 71 degrees, overcast, just before rain. Bees extremely docile. Appear to be Carniolins.
Got home about 9:20 (drizzle), had hive stand, medium box w/plastic foundation, no inner cover, no outer cover. Dumped both buckets of bees (4 #), put piece of indoor paneling as lid, covered whole affair with garbage bag (now raining), stuck in entrance reducer and headed for the house. Everything seems ok this a.m. (checked them in moderate rain) Assuming rain will keep them in the hive for the time being.
No stings.
ive got 4 swarms this year so far and did 12 cut outs so far
