Picked up a swarm in Rocky Ford today 5-15-10. It was from a hive that had lived in a tree at least since 2003. I had planned on doing a cut out but the tree was just too massive, for an old woman! Ha!
The owner called today to let me know - it was up 18 feet in a tree. My girlfriends came to help hold the ladder & give moral support. It is now in my bee yard!!! I really wanted some of those genes!

Had a swarm land in a tree at the back of my yard this past Sunday, 5/16. Swarmed from a feral colony in a tree on other side of neighbors house. She saw it swarm, I tracked it to the tree it landed in. After spending the night, it moved on.

Lawrenceville Pa on May 16th . Everytime the bees started to congregate on the outside of the house they lived in, the homeowner sprayed them, went on for over a week. Claims he spent $80 on spray. They finally threw a swarm after I told him they were trying to leave but I wish it had included the pounds of bees he already killed. He's saving up the cut out fee to get the rest out of the house.

Elmira NY swarmed evening of May 17th. Going to scrape them off the ladies house this evening if the rain stops..... I need more supers/frames/tops/bottoms.

Got my first swarm call of the season yesterday 5/18/10. Larsen WI 54947. I need to start bringing my camera. It was by far the largest swarm I have ever seen in person. They were very gentile, I got them home last night, and all looks good.
