9/11/2012 Biggest swarm I have ever personally ever seen in 40 years of beekeeping.
Picked up a football sized swarm on a DC-3 at work (Long Beach, Ca) . Put them in a spare medium box with half a comb of honey and wished them luck. Sadly, I don't have a spare frame of brood to give them as my other hive seems mostly honey bound and slow to build fresh comb.
.
One of my hives swarmed on October 2nd here in Nova Scotia Canada. I don't know what they were thinking.
Small swarm 11/5/12, 76577
CAUGHT MY FIRST SWARM APRIL LOST MY QUEEN AND THE REST OF THE HIVE BUT CAUGHT MY SECOND SWARM OF THE YEAR NOV 28, 2012 SMALL ONE ABOUT 1000 BEE BUT A BUSY ONE , REMEMBER GUYS HERE IN P.R. ALL WILD BEE ARE africanized IN Puerto Rico , but they are gentle type not the aggressive type you have in the states, so im a happy camper again
Pray tell me, where is the swarm data from this thread available?

I try to learn from my mistakes, and from yours when you give me a heads up :)
Dobbins website address used to always be listed in the #1 post. It appears to have disappeared with the last revision.

Swarm call last night...Swarm retrieved today in Aventura/Miami FL
I checked my hives in Stuart, Va, today (1/13) and they are bringing in lots of yellow pollen. They have been collecting it long enough to have packed into wallet sized areas of brood comb. They are also bringing in a green pollen. I don't know the source of either of the pollens.
This is a bit 'after the fact' but I caught 1 swarm on 14 Jan 13.

Swarm crossed my backyard today, feb 9, 2013. I heard them from inside. They look to be setting up housekeeping in a large oak across street. I have put out a storm trap.
Hived my first swarm 2/6/2013 from Charleston,SC. About 3 #.
good for you mr. lowrimore. i have 5 traps out already. nothing yet.
There's three ways to do everything...the wrong way, the right way, a better way.
First swarm call tonight in SoCal.

Nice size, probably four pounds, seven feet up in a redwood tree. First of the year for me.

Came down from NY to make early splits and found a 4 pound swarm 15 feet up on a tree branch. Used a 10 foot length of pipe and a cardboard box taped to the pipe to retrieve the swarm. My first of the year, and hopefully not the last.
Just caught a 2nd swarm in the same tree as the first, and it was the same size. We werent expecting them to be swarming this soon.
Caught 3 swarms Friday, 4 Saturday, 2 yesterday, and 1 today.
