soccer ball sized swarm on soffit of two story house.
Mother's day weekend (May 11/12), caught a small swarm in Downingtown, PA (19335). Saw bees checking out the trap Friday afternoon before I left, came home to a swarm captured. Moved them to a hive about 6 miles away a couple days ago and put the trap back where it was.
Picked up a swarm in one of my bait hives on the south side of Eau Claire (54701) on Friday 5/18.
52403 Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Soccer ball sized swarm 7 ft. up in Red Maple. Tip from police department that I gave my info to last year. 5/21/12

I think this may had been my Carni hive for the second swarm. Not really sure. The only thing that leads me to believe that is it landed 15 ft from where my swarm landed on mother's day.

4 hives: 1 Carniolan/Italian Hybrid, 2 Swarms from that hive and 1 Russian.

5/12 ish in Malvern, Pa a smaller than average swarm landed in a tree about 8 or so feet off the ground. The lady called a beekeeper that said that he'd charge $300 to come and get it. WOW!!! She only called me on the 21st because the "beekeeper" said that they'd probably leave within a day or so and they were still there building comb. I'll be getting it this afternoon. They probably have about a deep frame's worth of drawn comb from the little tree.
Picked up a swarm today in Lima, Ohio. 5-25-2012.
It was located in a propane tank storage area. About 5 feet off the ground clustered inside the screening. About 90°F. A bit overcast. Got the call around 6:45PM. Located at a factory in Lima, Ohio. Had to get permission from the job supervisor before I could go get them. Arrived just a bit after 8:00PM. Got most of the bees brushed in within the first minute. About an hour later, the rest of the bees had finally gone into my box. Only a few bees remained behind. Due to most of the bees entering the box on their own, I am fairly certain I got the queen.
I am happy I got the call and said I would go get them. Next person on the list was pest control.

As I entered my nuc apiary I noticed a small size swarm clustered on a low branch of the mesquite tree that shades this small apiary. The day before I had assembled a nuc that was still queenless, without a queen cell, so I placed it on a ladder which positioned it just a few inches below the swarm. I removed the cover from the nuc and gently pushed the swarm off the branch and into the nuc using a long wooden shim.
After they settle in, I plan to check them out to see if they have a queen, else I'll need to give them a cultured cell.

Hmmmmm - it seems swarming season was early this year. I've noticed the swarm postings have diminished here at least.
A neighbor a mile in a half away called with a bee swarm in their yard. They left a message on my answering machine and I was out all day. They got ahold of another neighbor who used to have bees and he had an old empty hive and housed them. Cooler day today - in the high 60's. Summerville, PA 15864
