    Location: Central Indiana
Weather: Clear blue skies, Low 80's
    Date: Saturday, May 12th
Origin of swarm: My hive. I thought I had gone "by the book" as far as swarm-prevention measures, but, off into the woods they went (avoiding the two empty hives I had sitting nearby, waiting for my packages to arrive).

A swarm made a home in a swarm trap about 5/12/2007. Bless them, they took the one easiest to move. Must be a big one as busy as it is in front of the hive. Zip 46131 (Franklin).
Come in May, here to stay,
Come in June, none too soon,
    July, let 'um fly.

I missed out on a swarm in Brazill, IN on Friday April 25th. basketball size, weathered through a storm until Saturday morning when picked up by a local. I don't think he's on beesource so I posted this info instead.

1 swarm call Wednesday in Dugger, IN that I couldn't get to

1 large swarm yesterday that I was able to hive (about 8-10 pounds estimated), I checked them today and their going gangbusters on foraging (even in on/off rain)

Hived another swarm this morning (5/27) although they've been there since about 3pm yesterday. Great weather yesterday, misty/foggy this morning.

6/08, 6/09, 6/10/2008. I had seen very little activity around a couple of swarm traps one with draw comb in it. Then I had 2 swarms in my front yard and one call.

    Default Swarm May 3, 2009

Zip; 46131, Time; around 1pm edt (about 11am sun time), Source; one of my swarm captures June 10, 2008.
Weather; hazy sun temp uper 60s
This hive has, from the start, seemed to do well (even last year they were as busy or more than a 3 yr. old hive) but I didn't expect them to swarm yet. Recent weather has not been good to check the hives.
