Default Best way to release a Queen

Has anyone noticed a better way to relaese there queens? Are there any effects to releaseing her after she has been in the hive for 5 or more days? Is it best to let the bees eat the candy to release her at there will? I know there will be many diffrent options on this issue I was just woundering if any one found if the queen would lay a better pattern if she was released diffrently or what the affects might bee of the diffrent releases.

I usually install the package and leave them for a day or two (dpending on how much time they have been in the package. More time with the queen in the package means less time she needs to be in the cage before letting her go).

Some queen candy is too hard and takes too long for them to release her. The easiest way is to pull the plug out of the queen cage, making sure the queen in on the lower part of the cage. Place your thumb over the opening right after you take the cork out and place the open cork end quickly between the frames. The queen will walk right out into the frames. You will need to do this quickly. any hestitation might cause the queen to fly off.

I did this will all my packages and it worked great. I hope this helps!

Yes. A push in cage over emerging brood is the best simple way I know of.
