    Default white clover blooms

    Hi all,
I noticed some white clover blooms today. Does this mean the nectar flow is underway? I am in Eastern Ky. The girls have been bringing in polled for a few weeks now. Also, should I start adding supers on my double hive bodies?
    Thanks to any who reply.

Honey supers should be added soon enough so bees are never without room to expand. With an overwintered hive, this can be as early as when fruit trees are blooming. It will be later w/ a first-year hive.

Some folks say that the "flow begins" w/ black locust and/or blackberry bloom.

Seems like a fine time to do a hive inspection to see if supers should be added. If after removing the inner cover, the top frames being covered with bees, one or two honey supers should be added.
