I have heard that beeswax candles do not produce soot and is part of the reason that the many churches use them in services instead of petroleum by-product candles.
I have also heard that beeswax candles, unlike others, produce negatively charged ions which attach to free-floating allergens weighing them down to the ground and helping with indoor pollution...thus alleviating symptoms of those suffering from allergies.
Any hard data on this...any other info available about beeswax candles would also be helpful.

I do not know how accurate any of these sites are but they do claim that beeswax candles are healthier than paraffin.
