I picked up a commercial sized coffee maker at a thrift store for a buck. It keeps water at 165 degrees, and is the perfect size to put a stainless pitcher in to make a double boiler for melting/cleaning wax. Works for me.

I picked up an electric percolator from a thrft shop. Worked great, except you occasionaly had to blow torch the spout to clear it after 12 pours or so.
