    Big Grin

fabulous site. thanks to all, especially Michael. My first year bee keeping.

Based on threads here and referenced sites, have built 3 tbhs with slotted false bottom and vented bottom board (bottom slides out), of two designs. One intended for langstroth frames only, and the other real topbars. All 30 frames long of langstroth deep dimension. Box raised off the ground with removeable legs.

The ladies are doing really well since installed this past month. Hives have trippled in size, in terms of frames, despite lots of rain. We had a really good dandelion year. Touching wood, no attachments at all yet.

    Nice job, Ottawabee!

I see you have gone for vertical sides - are you getting much attachment to the sides?
