>I was thinking about cutting the thin wax foundation that I got for the hive bodies and cutting it into starter strips and using those strips in both the hive bodies and supers, and saving the 7/11. What do you think?

It will work fine as starter strips. Even the 7/11 will probably work fine as starter strips. It depends on what you want to do.

I want to learn about the bees enjoy watching them, let them do thier own thing as much as possible. If I get 5lbs of honey good, if I get 40lbs of honey I'll enjoy giving it to family & friends, if I get 200lbs then I'll sell some. My goal is to enjoy it not create a honey mill.

    Like Michael said.......

Just mark frames to indicate steps in regression. Bees build what they will.
