This is equipment repair/painting time.
Most Beekeepers devote this time to equipment repair and building new frames with new foundation.
If you think about it the wax and combs are a collector of chemicals and possibly diseases. Most beekeepers change comb on a regular basis. I found that if I deate the frames when first built that if I replaced 2 per box per year that I had less diseases and more bees.
You should try Screened bottom boards as part of your Integrated pest management this year. I know they helped me.
It is also time if you havent already ordered your packages of bees as many suppliers are sold out by now.
NOW is the time to know where your clusters are possitioned. If near the top you may want to feed them with a candy board with a small tray of pollon for the new brood.
